SURC is an ACS regional chemistry conference that has occurred annually for 53 years. As the name implies, the conference is specifically geared toward undergraduate student chemistry research. The recent history of the location of the conference is pasted below. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the conference was canceled for both the years 2021 and 2022. Upon losing momentum, there was not a host lined up for 2023. Belhaven University and Mississippi College, both in the Jackson, MS, metro area, successfully co-hosted and resurrected the conference with great success. At the 2024 meeting, there were approximately 145 attendees, 60 undergraduate student posters, and 12 student oral presentations. SURC 2025 is proudly hosted by Kennesaw State University.
